Excellent! I'm using it now in new beds 300 mm down in trenches with lucern or rotted compost.

I'll be making a fair bit this winter in anticipation of our fire season in 6 months

If you can, add the biochar in with your other compost ingredients. Especially your kitchen scraps. It will make you compost go faster and you don't need to turn it more than once. I make beautiful compost with kitchen scraps, garden weeds, leaves and biochar. All done in less than 6 months.

The chickens get it all but I'll dig up their composted stuff and mix it in a new compost.
